Mainstay have an exciting opportunity for a experienced contracts manager with a strong background in PFI contracts to join a growing Facilities Management company in the East midlands area.

The ideal candidate will have a hard service background and experience delivering within a PFI environment and dealing with the challenges this sector faces and demonstrating their ability to spot areas for continuous improvement in efficiency and competencies.


Role – Contract Manager


  • Contract manager overseeing a busy PFI contract with multiple sites and health clinics
  • You will be responsible for a Hard service team made up of Maintenance Managers, supervisors, and Engineers
  • You will be dealing with the day to day performance and management of the contract ensuring all KPIS and SLAs are met and delivering innovation and ideas of how the contract can be improved upon
  • It will be your responsibility to manage staff appraisals and holiday sick along with disciplinary’s
  • You will be the main point of contact with the client and work closely to establish confidence and respond to needs of the end client with new strategy to improve performance across the whole team
  • Deliver high standards across the contract and motivate the team where needed
  • You will be working along side the projects team where need to ensure all projects are completed and managed within the strict budget and timelines
  • You will have commercial responsibility and work closely with the Account Manager and regional Director



  • A Facilities management service provider




  • Must have previous experience dealing with PFI contracts and a strong FM service provider background
  • You will have managed hard services previously and M&E qualifications highly desirable
  • Ideally you will have previous experience within a similar role
  • You will have strong communication skills and experienced in dealing with the end client and navigating the complexities of multiple clients
  • You will be able to tackle any competencies issues face on while keeping the team engaged and motivated
  • You must have experience in managing teams both on single sites and remotely
  • You will have a keen eye for detail and standards
